Selena Gomez: Social networks are a horror for young people

Actress and singer Selena Gomez say social networks are terrible for her generation and urged people to set clear time limits for their online activities, the BBC writes.

Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, where he promotes his new movie, "The Dead Do not Die," this 26-year-old has said he thinks the world is obviously going through a big crisis.

"As far as my generation is concerned, social networks are really a horror. These platforms are somewhat useful, but frighten me when I see young boys and girls who are unaware of the real dangers of these media," said Selena Gomez.

Selene Gomez, who has 150 million followers on Instagram, took over Cristiano Ronaldo football player last year and became the most prominent person on the platform, and formerly this teen star has long abandoned social networks.
